Motion Designer - 2D

As a Motion Designer, you’ll be a key player in shaping the future of digital experiences for a leading technology company that is transforming how people connect and interact online. In this role, you will be instrumental in crafting engaging and intuitive motion graphics that enhance the user experience across a variety of platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop motion graphics and animations for various product features, including user onboarding, tutorials, and UI interactions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product designers, developers, and project managers) to seamlessly integrate motion design into product development.
• Develop and maintain a consistent visual language and brand identity across all products.
• Create prototypes and test animations to ensure optimal performance and user experience.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in motion design.
• Provide design guidance and mentorship to junior designers.
• Participate in design critiques and provide constructive feedback to peers.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Motion Designer in product design domains (apps, iOS, Android, web).
• Proficiency in 2D animation and specific software for creating animations.
• Strong understanding of design principles, human-centered design, and user experience.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Portfolio that showcases your motion design work and experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Motion Graphics, or a related field.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the contracting nature of this role, only candidates with the unrestricted right to work in The Netherlands will be considered. 

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

• Experience with 3D animation and/or VR/AR
• Knowledge of front-end development and coding languages (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Experience with design systems and style guides
• Certification in motion design software
• Experience creating motion storyboards for clients (e.g., sizzle reels, films, short pitch videos)
