Our client is seeking a Commercial Insights & Deals Analyst to join a team who is passionate about music contracts, project management & artist metadata. In this role, you’ll be working with the Business Strategy team to support the quality and integrity of commercial metadata in client’s system. As a member of this team, you will play a key part in supporting the existing processes for managing the deals pipeline, artist onboarding to their in-house platform as well as support defining new processes required for the business. You will also support the Legal team with the end-to-end contracts process.

Responsibilities 
• Work with the Business Strategy, Finance, and legal teams
• Maintain a high integrity of artist and contract metadata through contract / database administration
• Manage the pipeline of incoming deals from the music teams
• Analysis & forecasting of deals
• Lead the contractual data input and validation process in collaboration with legal and operations teams, ensuring data accuracy across internal systems
• Model and evaluate commercial deals, conducting analysis & forecasting in-line with the commercial strategy & business KPI’s
• Track timelines, deliverables, and execution across internal and external teams to drive efficiencies across all operational processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, translating complex concepts to both technical and creative teams, ensuring alignment and actionable steps tailored to each audience
• Contribute new features and ideas to improve processes and workflows

Minimum Qualifications
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Highly organised with ability to prioritise workload
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality work and meet deadlines
• Strong understanding of music contracts & terminology
• Strong analytical and Excel skills, with the ability to use and build financial models

Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience at a record label, music publisher or DSP
• Familiarity with Airtable, Tableau or Looker
• Experience working with datasets related to royalties, licensing, or catalog performance
• 2–4 years’ experience in deal analysis, financial modelling or a similar role (music or media industry preferred)
• A solid understanding of the flow of recording royalties and neighboring rights income
• Cross-functional experience bridging the gap between technical and creative stakeholders
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills to both internal and external stakeholders
• University educated with at least one degree in a quantitative subject (Finance, Economics, Business or a related field)
