Product Owner - Freelance

Overview

Lead the secondhand marketplace initiative of a leading global retailer in the home furnishings and lifestyle industry. You’ll be focusing on designing, building, and scaling a platform for customers to buy and sell preowned items. Our client aims to establish a secondhand marketplace that enables customers to buy and sell their preowned items, fostering connections among users to extend the lifespan of our products. This initiative contributes to making our products more accessible to a broader audience by offering them at a lower price point. This marketplace is an integral part of their strategy, aligning with thier vision of creating a better everyday life for the many people

Scope of assignment: As the Product Owner for thieir secondhand platform, you will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of the platform. This includes designing, building, launching, optimizing, and scaling the marketplace to meet customer needs and business goals.

Requirements:

• Marketplace / Platform Knowledge: Deep understanding of marketplace dynamics and platform business models.
• Product Development: Experience in designing, building, and launching new marketplaces.
• Optimization and Scaling: Proven track record of improving and scaling digital products.
• Strategic Prioritization: Ability to prioritize initiatives based on strategic goals and customer impact.
• Product Discovery: Proficient in product discovery techniques to identify and validate customer problems and solutions.
• Product Management: Strong understanding of product management principles and best practices.
• Customer Research & Analytics: Expertise in leveraging customer research, data, and analytics to inform product decisions.
• Success Metrics: Ability to define and measure success through key performance indicators
