EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (EU-U.S. DPF), the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF, and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Swiss-U.S. DPF)
Participation in The Data Privacy Framework. Aquent complies with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (EU-U.S. DPF), the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF, and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Swiss-U.S. DPF) as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce. Aquent has certified to the U.S. Department of Commerce that it adheres to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework Principles (EU-U.S. DPF Principles) with regard to the processing of personal data received from the European Union and the United Kingdom in reliance on the EU-US DPF and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF. Aquent has certified to the U.S. Department of Commerce that it adheres to the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework Principles (Swiss-U.S. DPF Principles) with regard to the processing of personal data received from Switzerland in reliance on the Swiss-U.S. DPF. If there is any conflict between the terms in this privacy policy and the EU-U.S. DPF Principles and/or the Swiss-U.S. DPF Principles, the Principles shall govern. Data Processed. We obtain and process Personal Information from the European Union, United Kingdom, and Switzerland primarily as a data controller. As a data controller we collect and process personal data directly from individuals in the manner described in our Privacy Notice. We process this personal data as needed to run our business, to assist applicants to find assignments or direct hire positions with our clients, to provide services to our clients, and to pay our service providers.
On some occasions Aquent may operate as a data processor, processing data on behalf of and on the instructions of our customers in connection with our services. In these situations, our clients decide what personal data they submit to us, and we process the personal data at our customer's instructions and pursuant to a contractual agreement. We may access and use this data in response to customer instruction and to fulfill our contract with such clients.

Liability for Onward Transfer. Aquent is responsible for the processing of personal data it receives under the EU-US DPF, the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF, and the Swiss-U.S. DPF and subsequently transfers to a third party agent acting on its behalf. Aquent shall remain liable under the EU-US DPF, the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF, and the Swiss-U.S. DPF Principles if its agents that it engages to process such personal information do so in a manner inconsistent with EU-US DPF, the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF, or the Swiss-U.S. DPF, unless Aquent proves that it is not responsible for the event giving rise to the damage.
Privacy Complaints. In compliance with the EU-U.S. DPF and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF and the Swiss-U.S. DPF, Aquent commits to resolve DPF Principles-related complaints about our collection and use of your personal information. EU and UK and Swiss individuals with inquiries or complaints regarding our handling of personal data received in reliance on the EU-U.S. DPF and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF and the Swiss-U.S. DPF should first contact Aquent at:

If a complaint or dispute cannot be resolved through Aquent's internal process, in compliance with the EU-U.S. DPF and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF and the Swiss-U.S. DPF, Aquent commits to cooperate and comply respectively with the advice of the panel established by the EU data protection authorities (DPAs) and the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) and the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) with regard to unresolved complaints concerning our handling of personal data received in reliance on the EU-U.S. DPF and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF and the Swiss-U.S. DPF.
If your dispute can't be resolved through use of the above referenced independent recourse mechanisms, you may have the right to require that Aquent enter into binding arbitration with you. Additional information on this process can be found here.
Regulatory Oversight. The Federal Trade Commission has jurisdiction over Aquent's compliance with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (EU-U.S. DPF) and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF, and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Swiss-U.S. DPF).
Amendment. This Data Privacy Framework Notice may be amended consistent with the requirements of the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (EU-U.S. DPF), the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF, and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Swiss-U.S. DPF).
