**About the Role**

We are seeking a talented Data Engineer to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our client’s global customer loyalty program. You will be instrumental in developing and maintaining the data models and pipelines that underpin this expansive initiative, directly impacting how millions of customers engage with the brand. Your work will enhance data quality, accessibility, and integration, providing reliable and robust data for critical reporting, analysis, and the development of cutting-edge AI use cases. This role offers a unique chance to build a sustainable data foundation that drives personalized experiences and boosts customer lifetime value on a global scale.

This is a 6 months fixed term salaried position contracted via Aquent on behalf of our client as a third party. There is the possibility for extension. 

Due to the contracting nature of this role, only candidates with unrestricted rights to work in The Netherlands will be considered. 

**Responsibilities**

* Develop and maintain data models and pipelines to support the global rollout and enhancement of a key customer loyalty and rewards program, including its membership foundations.
* Enhance the data quality, accessibility, and integration of loyalty program data for both global and market-specific users.
* Build and optimize a sustainable data foundation crucial for advanced analytics and AI use cases within the customer loyalty domain.
* Collaborate with global analytic teams to ensure data reliability and robustness for dashboards, reporting, and in-depth analysis.

**Must-Have Qualifications**

* 4-7 years of professional experience in data engineering roles within the retail or e-commerce industries.
* Strong proficiency in SQL for data manipulation, querying, and analysis.
* Broad knowledge and practical experience in processing large datasets efficiently.
* Proven experience with data pipeline orchestration tools such as dbt or Airflow.
* Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) and specific tools like BigQuery.
* Experience with build and deploy tools (e.g., Jenkins) and infrastructure management frameworks (e.g., Terraform).
* Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
* Solid understanding and practical application of data modeling, schema design, and performance tuning techniques.
